Stage 2 (Years 3 & 4)
Stage 2 is made up of Year 3 and Year 4 children. The children are taught the same Science, History and Geography topics across the stage. This is a great way to teach so that the stage teachers can plan activities and excursions together. This term we will be visiting Bobbin Head to learn about natural environments as part of our Geography unit.
Sport. Children in Stage 2 have the opportunity to try out for the school representative soccer and netball teams. If successful they will represent the school in what is known as the 'PSSA' team. Our students also have the opportunity to represent their school in the local 'Warrina Street' competition as well as learning valuable skills and games as part of the school sport program.
Each year we hold an athletics, cross country and swimming carnival. Those children who perform at a high standard represent the school at the Zone Carnival.
Annual Stage 2 Market Day
The Market Day has become a great tradition for Stage 2. The kids develop and produce their own goods and services, selling their produce to the rest of the school.
Extra Curricular Activities
Performing Arts. Children in Stage 2 have the opportunity to join the school band, choir and dance groups. Wideview takes great pride in its performing arts, and those who are in these groups will have many opportunities to perform both inside and outside the school.
